We are located in the Newington area which boasts numerous excellent restaurants, cafes, bars, hotels and of course great Edinburgh guest houses like Sherwood Guest House Sherwood guest house is a fully renovated Georgian 'B' listed building built in 1832 and retains most of the original features and character ( but with modern heating & plumbing ). The house was first registered to a young lady, the daughter of a tea merchant. This was a bold move for its day, as women did not have equal rights or anything like it, but we like to think we have retained that spirit of boldness with our decor and soft furnishings. We work hard to keep our Edinburgh guest house looking good, in character, and providing great value for our guests.
